Smash
Repair Blanket Low Spots

Smash will swell a low spot in the blanket surface back to printing height. Usually a low spot is caused when multiple sheets of paper pass through the press, or when paper feeds through the press improperly (folded over) and causes excess pressure in a concentrated area. This damages the blanket face producing a low spot. When a blanket has a low spot (smash) this creates an uneven printing (image transfer) surface. Low spots cause the print to come out too light or not at all. The use of Smash will quickly swell the low spot, correcting the problem.
